Aims
The official website of the Dutch EU Presidency, www.eu2004.nl, will be accessible from 1 July 2004. The website will be published in three languages (Dutch, English and French) and will provide relevant and up-to-date information about the Dutch EU Presidency. This information is mainly aimed at professionals and EU citizens. Journalists can also apply for accreditation for ministerial meetings during the Dutch EU Presidency via the website. Content
The website consists of two parts: a static part, containing information about the European Union, the Presidency and the Netherlands (this information can be found on the horizontal menu bar; and a dynamic part, updated daily, containing public documents such as press releases and speeches issued by the Presidency. The most recent articles can be found on the homepage. All articles published on the website can be found under 'News' on the horizontal menu bar. Calendar
The calendar provides an overview of all meetings held in the context of the Presidency. You can also access information about specific meetings. Accreditation
The website has an important additional function. Journalists can only apply for accreditation for ministerial meetings held in the Netherlands during the Presidency via the website. The accreditation section can be found under ‘press information’ on the horizontal menu bar. Accessibility
The website is easily accessible, which means that almost anyone can use it. Users with disabilities were also taken into account in the construction of the website. About the makers
